Carestream Dental’s CS 8100 wins Dental Advisor award

Carestream Dental has announced that its CS 8100 digital panoramic imaging system has received a top designation of Excellent 5 Plus and an editors' choice award from The Dental Advisor magazine.

The publication, which randomly selects 20 to 30 clinical consultants to review products, assessed the product based on metrics such as clinical performance and ease of use and offered a strong recommendation for the system based on its findings.

It means that the CS 8100 has now won a total of six awards in a year since its launch last October, making it the first Carestream Dental product to achieve this feat in its first 12 months on the market.

CS 8100 has also won a bronze International Medical Design Excellence Award and a US DrBicuspid Dental Excellence Award for best new diagnostic/imaging device in recent months, plus an international Red Dot Award for product design.

The company additionally received a Polish Krakdent Medal of Highest Quality and Clinical Innovations India award for the system.

Earlier this year, the firm manufactured its 1,000th CS 8100 unit, making it the first extraoral imaging unit to reach this production quantity in less than one year.
