Ceva Animal Health launches Adaptil Junior behavioural product for puppies
Ceva Animal Health has announced the launch of Adaptil Junior, a new version of its Adaptil pet behavioural product range formulated especially for puppies.
Adaptil Junior comes in the form of a translucent blue collar that releases an artificial pheromone identical to that used by mother dogs to naturally calm and reassure new puppies. It is designed to be worn continuously for four weeks.
This helps to comfort newly-adopted puppies and reduce night crying and whining by 86 percent, meaning animals are able to adapt to their new homes and unfamiliar situations in only three days.
Studies have also shown that puppies using Adaptil Junior are less fearful and anxious during puppy classes, resulting in better long-term socialisation and helping them grow into balanced and well-trained adult dogs.
Abigail King, product manager for Adaptil at Ceva Animal Health, said: "Adaptil Junior is an effective, natural solution to help comfort newly-adopted puppies and facilitate their education, while helping them to learn and adapt to their new lives."
