Ceva highlights success of Adaptil usage at Wildlife Aid Foundation

Ceva Animal Health has reported on the success of the Wildlife Aid Foundation's (WAF's) efforts to provide care for fox cubs with the use of the product Adaptil.

Emma Jackson, product manager for Adaptil at Ceva Animal Health, recently visited the charity's base in Surrey to see how the canine veterinary behaviour product has been used to calm and reassure the baby foxes in its care.

Based on a natural pheromone used by mother dogs to comfort and bond with her puppies, the spray has helped WAF volunteers to prevent fighting between the cubs and reduce their stress when their enclosures are being cleaned.

The company will be donating additional Adaptil diffusers and sprays to enable the charity to continue to use the product on both its fox cubs and adults.

Ms Jackson said: "This is a fantastic charity – the WAF staff and volunteers' dedication, professionalism and unwavering ability to support so many animals with such limited resources is outstanding."

In addition to Adaptil for dogs, the firm also sells a feline equivalent product under the brand name Feliway.
