Ceva hosts European swine reproduction symposium
Ceva Sante Animale has hailed the success of its recent European symposium on the subject of reproductive health among swine.
The company invited around 150 veterinarians, swine producers and scientists from 18 countries to Berlin last month in order to allow industry stakeholders to share expertise on approaches to reproductive management.
Bringing together professionals from Europe's main swine-producing areas, the symposium covered topics from the genetic potential of animals to the use of hormones in reproduction.
The aim of the event was to help improve farm production indices, minimise production costs and increase profits for pork producers.
Dr Stefano Gozio, corporate marketing director for Ceva Sante Animale's swine division, said: "We set up this unique event to share information and experience among guests, keynote speakers and Ceva's swine team in order to optimise current approaches to reproductive management."
Last month, the company launched a new product called Vectormune HVT AIV, a recombinant vaccine that offers protection against avian influenza.
