Ceva names new swine product and field trial officer

Ceva Animal Health has appointed the experienced pig industry professional Nigel Bennet as its new swine product and field trial officer.

Boasting more than three decades of industry experience, Mr Bennet began his career as a pig stockman and has worked in various pig farm management roles, including production, genetics and health programmes.

In his new role, he will provide technical field support for Ceva's growing swine product portfolio, working under poultry and swine business unit manager Nicholas Cousseau.

Mr Bennet said: "Having worked at the sharp end as a stockman in the early days gives me a real edge when it comes to delivering practical and logical support for clients."

His appointment comes after Ceva recently expanded its swine reproduction range with the launch of Fertipig.

Designed to be a more flexible way to induce and synchronise oestrus in sows, it can be used for up to 28 days after reconstitution for optimum usage and minimal waste.
