Ceva opens nominations for 2018 Ceva Animal Welfare Awards

6th November 2017

Ceva Animal Health has opened nominations for and confirmed the details of the 2018 Ceva Animal Welfare Awards, which will be taking place on April 4th.

Returning for the ninth year, the event will celebrate achievements in the farming, veterinary and charity sectors, allowing vets, vet nurses, animal welfare professionals and animal welfare teams to nominate each other for prizes.

Categories include vet of the year, vet nurse of the year, charity team of the year and charitable contribution of the year, while awards for farm animal welfare and cat care welfare will also be handed out.

The winners will be decided by a panel of judges including James Yeates, chief veterinarian at the RSPCA, with prizes to be handed out at a ceremony taking place just before the 2018 BSAVA Congress.

Cuneyt Seckin, managing director of Ceva Animal Health, said: "The Ceva Animal Welfare Awards champion people involved in animal welfare, but they also raise awareness of this important work to wider audiences."

The awards have been running since 2010, with the 2017 event seeing a record-breaking number of nominations.
