Chime Communications reports business growth in 2011
Chime Communications has published its preliminary financial results for 2011, a year which saw the company maintain its strong growth trajectory.
The media group's operating income total for the 12 months came to 163.6 million pounds, up by ten percent compared to last year, while operating profit has risen by 16 percent to 31.9 million pounds.
Business highlights from the last 12 months include the company's strong sports marketing and advertising performance, as well as its successful efforts to expand its international presence and digital and social capabilities.
The group was also able to agree a number of strategic acquisitions shortly after the end of the year, including the February 2012 takeover of the healthcare-focused Succinct Communications, which will become part of its Open Health division.
Chime Communications' chairman Lord Bell said: "In 2011, Chime has had its seventh successive year of growth in operating income, operating profit and margin. We think this is an impressive achievement given the difficult economic conditions."
