Cicero Group launches new healthcare practice

Cicero Group has announced the formation of a new healthcare practice, as it seeks to continue its recent growth by expanding into new fields.

The agency has enjoyed double-digit expansion over the past year and recently launched an energy practice. It aims to build a market-leading team in healthcare PR over the coming years.

Former Baxter senior communications director Fiona Cohen has been appointed to lead the practice, leveraging her more than 30 years of PR experience, including a decade in the pharmaceuticals sector.

Prior to working at Baxter, Ms Cohen also spent time working for Roche, and played an instrumental role in helping MSLGroup expand its presence in Asia.

Jeremy Swan, chief executive at Cicero Group, said: "Healthcare is an extremely specialised sector and as we always look for expansion into highly regulated markets, this is an obvious route for the business."

Founded in 2000, Cicero works with more than 200 clients across 22 countries, including brands such as Barclays, eBay, Prudential, Sainsbury's and Rio Tinto.
