CME Medical to distribute Myfuser infusion pump in UK
CME Medical has announced the launch of the Myfuser silicone elastomeric infusion pump, for use in anaesthesia/pain management and oncology applications.
The company has secured exclusive distribution rights for the device in the UK and Ireland. It is billed as the only available product to combine a range of unique patient and clinician benefits, including accuracy, safety, comfort and ease of use.
Available for acute hospitals and home therapy providers to assist with enhanced recovery, it can be used to administer the infusion of anaesthetic and analgesic drugs for pain treatment both post-operatively and for long-term management of chronic pain, as well as delivering chemotherapeutic drugs.
Its other benefits include its lack of a need for batteries or a power supply, its construction using high-quality medical-grade silicone and a first-rate glass flow restrictor capillary, and the rigid, crush-proof container that protects the balloon.
John Carrington, managing director of CME Medical, said: "Myfuser is the next generation in elastomeric infusion pump technology and we're delighted to welcome it into the CME Medical product portfolio to complement our existing range."
This follows on from the recent introduction of the company's Intelligent Programmed Interval Auto Bolus (PiAB), a next-generation epidural pain management solution.
