Coca-Cola release Sustainability Review

30th October 2008

Coca-Cola has released its fifth annual Sustainability Review.

The 2007/08 review – called Act. Inspire. Make a Difference. A Dialogue of Progress and Possibility – is an account of the company’s commitment to growth in an environmentally, economically and socially sustainable manner.

In the review’s introduction, president and chief executive Muhtar Kent wrote: "For our company and our bottling partners, sustainability reflects an understanding of the role our business must play in society if we are to be successful in the 21st century."

This role involves working with communities and stakeholders on environmental areas such as energy and climate protection, water stewardship and sustainable packaging, as well as social issues such as workplace rights, development of communities and healthy living.

People working in scientific sales jobs may be interested in Coca-Cola’s approach. The company has also been involved in the launch of a new carbon footprint standard with BSI British Standards, the Carbon Trust and Defra.
