Collaboration Seeks to Advance Mental Wellbeing Studies

7th August 2023

The ‘Mental Health Futures Collaborative’ (MHFC) was established to strengthen collaborations among the University of Strathclyde, the NHS, and universities across the globe. It involves greater emphasis on mental wellness research, knowledge exchange, and addressing imbalances in mental health.

Additionally, the MHFC seeks to improve data for eliminating mental illness and to assist policy reform. It seeks to advocate and advance digital tools for future use in mental wellness therapy.

The assistant dean for faculty relations at NYU Silver School of Social Work, Dr Victoria Stanhope, states that “we are delighted to be working with colleagues within Strathclyde to help us strengthen our collaborative research focused on mental health and vulnerable populations.”

Co-founder of the Strathclyde Centre for Health Policy, Lee Knifton also stated that, “Our focus within the Collaborative is to be at the forefront of world-leading research and knowledge exchange with our international partners.”
