Coltene maintains improvement in first half of 2012

20th August 2012

Coltene has achieved a 2.5 percent year-on-year increase in net sales at constant exchange rates during the first six months of 2012.

The dental company's sales total for the period came to 73 million Swiss francs (47.78 million pounds), with its North American division performing particularly strongly, experiencing a 15.8 per cent annual growth in revenues.

During the six months, Coltene was able to progress the global rollout of key products such as the composite veneer system Componeer and the HyFlex Controlled Memory Files, while the restoration, endodontics and rotary systems saw the highest level of growth among all product categories.

In the second half of the year, the company will attempt to introduce further gradual organisational improvements, efficiency gains and improved manufacturing processes.

The firm's fiscal report said: "In the absence of extraordinary factors, Coltene aims to achieve sales growth slightly above overall market rates in the years ahead."

Last year, Coltene's sales total came to 146.1 million Swiss francs, which represented a 7.8 percent annual increase in local currency terms.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801432708-ADNFCR
