Consilient Health launches generic tramadol/paracetamol

7th September 2012

Consilient Health has announced the UK launch of a new generic tramadol/paracetamol treatment option.

The company is offering tramadol hydrochloride/paracetamol 37.5 mg/325 mg film-coated tablets both through direct sale and through its national wholesale partners, and is the first manufacturer to produce a generic version of this drug.

Its latest offering is essentially similar to the branded Tramacet 37.5 mg/325 mg film-coated tablets, which were developed and manufactured by Grunenthal.

This is the second first-to-market launch achieved by Consilient Health this year, after the company released a generic version of the Roche osteoporosis therapy Bonviva in May 2012.

By launching this new version of Tramaset, the Ireland-based company will support its overall strategic goal of becoming the premier supplier of low-cost generic medicines in Europe.

Last month, the firm expanded its portfolio further through the launch of Ifirmasta, a tablet-based therapy for hypertension and kidney problems based on Sanofi's branded drug Aprovel.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801445160-ADNFCR
