Cook Medical names new president
Cook Medical has appointed Pete Yonkman as its new president, a role that will leverage his extensive experience of working with the Cook Group.
Mr Yonkman has been with the organisation for 12 years and was most recently employed as executive vice-president, overseeing Cook Medical's ten strategic business units.
He joined as corporate counsel in 2001 and has since also held the positions of vice-president of Asian operations, chief legal officer and president of Cook Urological.
Kem Hawkins, president of Cook Group, announced the new appointment, which will not affect his own existing responsibilities. The objective of the move will be to ensure Cook Medical maintains its recent growth in a challenging business environment.
Mr Hawkins said: "Pete's deep experience across all of our businesses, combined with his commitment to our patient-centered mission, will serve Cook and our patients extremely well."
This comes after the company named Nicky James as vice-president and global leader of its aortic intervention clinical division earlier this year.
