Cook Medical showcases latest innovations at DDW 2014
Cook Medical has shared its latest clinical research findings at the Digestive Disease Week (DDW) event, which ran from May 3rd to 6th 2014 in Chicago.
The company took the opportunity to present nine abstracts and other research outcomes during the world's largest gathering of physicians and researchers in the gastroenterology field.
Presentations included two randomised controlled trials by Drs Masayuki Kitano and Srinadh Komanduri that demonstrated the functional benefits of the company's EchoTip ProCore High Definition Ultrasound Biopsy needles.
Additionally, Dr Komanduri offered a separate economic analysis comparing two strategies in patients undergoing endoscopic ultrasound-guided tissue sampling, alongside Drs Sachin Wani and Ananya Das.
Barry Slowey, global leader of Cook Medical's endoscopy division, said: "We believe that the ProCore technology has huge implications for diagnosing patients, so it's exciting to see our products featuring in many of these discussions."
This comes after the firm expanded its product lineup with the US debut of its new EchoTip ProCore Endobronchial Ultrasound Needle last month.
