Cook Medical to showcase drug-eluting technology benefits at VIVA
Cook Medical is highlighting the benefits of drug-eluting medical device technologies at the forthcoming Vascular Interventional Advances (VIVA) industry conference.
The company is hosting a symposium during the event in Las Vegas this week in order to showcase the economic and therapeutic benefits of devices such as drug-eluting stents and angioplasty balloons in treating vascular disease.
It is calling upon the expertise of renowned authorities in the field and presenting data from clinical trials to shed light on how this technology can be used more broadly in future.
Rob Lyles, global leader and vice-president of Cook Medical's peripheral intervention division, said this is part of the company's drive to share information that improves outcomes for patients.
"Cook is committed to furthering education about vascular disease and the health economics issues that are affecting global healthcare," he added.
Last month, the company announced the launch of its new Otrieva tapered ovum aspiration needle, a device that makes the process of human egg collection more comfortable for patients.
