Cook Medical's Walter Ryan, director of business development of the company's urology division, has been honoured for his contribution to the field of endourology.

The Cook Medical employee was praised for having aided in establishing strong partnerships between business and academia, which has helped to improve practice standards among physicians.
He joins Frederick Roemer and Gerald French as the third Cook Medical staff member to win the society's industry award.
Mr Ryan said: "I look forward to continuing my relationship with the society and pushing forward new innovations in the endourology space."
Earlier this year, Cook Group executive Neal Fearnot was presented with the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation's Laufman-Greatbatch Prize, the organisation's top honour for leadership in the field of medical devices.
