CooperVision enhances its Avaira range
CooperVision has announced improvements to its Avaira two-week replacement silicone hydrogel contact lenses.
These come in the form on a new sphere power range up to -12.00D, which allows an increased number of wearers to experience higher levels of comfort offered by the firm’s third-generation silicone hydrogel lens.
Avaira features a naturally wettable material that allows the lens to stay moist without the need for surface treatments or additives.
James Gardner, senior director of marketing, CooperVision, commented: “Now, more patients can benefit from the exceptional comfort, health and performance of our premium silicone hydrogel lenses. Avaira’s exclusive Aquaform technology provides excellent comfort throughout the day.”
In other CooperVision news, it was announced that it had reached an agreement with Novartis’ eye care unit CIBA Vision earlier this week on the settlement of a patent litigation.
CIBA Vision will license its Nicolson patents to CooperVision to enable both companies to develop new and improved products to meet the needs of eye care specialists and consumers.
