CryoLife names new global sales and marketing head

CryoLife has announced the appointment of John Davis to the position of senior vice-president for global sales and marketing.

Mr Davis can boast more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and executive leadership, having most recently served as executive vice-president of sales and marketing at CorMatrix.

Prior to this, he was vice-president in the cardiac rhythm management device business at St Jude Medical from 2008 to 2012, and spent 14 years before that serving in various senior sales leadership roles at Medtronic's cardiac rhythm management division.

In his new position at CryoLife, he will assume responsibility for the company's sales and marketing teams.

Pat Mackin, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of CryoLife, said: "I had the pleasure of working with John during my years at Medtronic and am confident in his abilities and that he will make a meaningful impact on our business."

The firm also announced this week that vice-president for US sales and global marketing Bruce Anderson and senior vice-president for international sales and marketing David Lang have retired from the company.
