CVS acquires three new veterinary practices
CVS Group has announced the addition of three new veterinary practices to its growing network.
The first is Alnorthumbria, founded in 2007 by the merger of two Northumberland practices, which operates nine sites across Northumberland at Amble, Fairmoor, Rothbury, Seahouses, Alnwick, Wooler, Ashington and Ponteland. It has a total staff of more than 100.
It has also purchased Torbridge Veterinary Hospital, which employs around 29 staff, including nine vets in its hospital in Bideford, Devon, and at its branch surgeries in South Molton and Torrington.
In addition, CVS has agreed a deal to purchase the smaller Okeford Veterinary Centre, which employs around 18 staff – including six vets – across its two sites in Okehampton and Chagford, Devon.
Simon Innes, chief executive of CVS, said: "We are delighted to welcome the teams from all three practices to CVS and look forward to a successful partnership."
CVS is now the UK's fastest-growing practice and, now owns 115 practices across 310 sites spanning the country.
