CVS agrees purchase of Dovecote Veterinary Hospital

6th August 2015

CVS has announced the purchase of the Dovecote Veterinary Hospital, based in Castle Donington near Derby.

The facility offers a full range of referral services, including cutting-edge X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography scanning capabilities, meaning the acquisition will strengthen CVS' presence in the small animal veterinary referrals sector.

Dovecote's directors include Andrew Robinson, a European RCVS-recognised specialist in small animal surgery, and Alison Robinson. They have been appointed joint clinical directors following the purchase.

CVS has also announced the acquisition of further first opinion practices based in Yorkshire and Wales, including Crooks Vets in Sheffield, Marlborough Road Veterinary Clinics in Cardiff and Barry-based Petherton Vets.

Simon Innes, chief executive of CVS, said: "These latest acquisitions show continued progress towards our goal of building a strong presence throughout all sectors of veterinary practice."

This comes after the firm introduced its first dedicated in-house training programme for practice managers last week.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801796814-ADNFCR
