CVS announce takeover of B&W Equine Vets
CVS has announced the acquisition of B&W Equine Vets, the largest specialist equine veterinary group in the south-west of England.
The company operates an integrated practice incorporating a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary referral hospital in Breadstone, with additional clinics in Cardiff, Gloucestershire and Bristol.
B&W employs more than 30 vets, including seven diploma holders, and offers the most comprehensive equine imaging service in the UK, among other offerings. It has been accredited to the highest practice standard by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
CVS has purchased the company following a rapid growth in its equine division over the last 18 months, with the business unit currently operating 32 sites.
Following the acquisition, B&W's managing director Ian Camm will stay with the business in the role of equine regional director for the south-west at CVS.
Mr Simon Innes, chief executive of CVS, said: "B&W is one of the UK's premier equine practices and we are delighted to welcome the team to CVS and look forward to working with them to help them build an even more successful future."
