CVS appoints head of new pet insurance business

7th January 2016

CVS has laid the foundations for the planned launch of a pet insurance business by appointing Simon Morrall to the newly-created post of director of insurance.

Mr Morrall, who has had a long career in financial services, will be responsible for developing the company's inaugural range of bespoke pet insurance products. Currently, he is developing his knowledge of the practice environment and the key requirements of pet owners.

Prior to joining CVS last month, he worked for the financial services team at global IT company Oracle before moving into consultancy. He has also run his own medical insurance business.

This comes as part of the company's wider mission of delivering the highest possible standard of veterinary care to pets and their owners.

Nick Perrin, finance director at CVS, said: "The addition of a range of bespoke pet insurance products is a logical next step and will complement and support the excellent veterinary care being provided by our practices across the UK."

CVS is the UK's fastest growing animal health practice, operating 117 practices across 333 sites throughout the country.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801809521-ADNFCR
