CVS appoints two new directors

CVS has announced the appointment of Richard Killen and Robert Dawson as new members of its directorial team.

Both new appointments are founder directors of the Highcroft Veterinary Group, a Bristol-based referral hospital acquired by CVS in October 2015, and will now be handed expanded roles.

Mr Killen, who has served as a regional director for CVS since the Highcroft acquisition, has been appointed director of clinical services, while Mr Dawson takes on the position of small animal director.

In their new roles, Mr Killen will be responsible for developing and maintaining clinical standards across all of CVS' practices, while Mr Dawson will be tasked with setting the clinical direction for the firm's small animal practices.

The pair have worked together for 25 years and have been credited with helping to build Highcroft into a leading multidisciplinary veterinary referral centre.

Karyn MacKenzie, director of CVS' practice division, said: "As we continue to grow, we are focused on developing our leadership teams and strengthening our infrastructure to ensure we provide the clear direction and support that our colleagues across the business require."
