Cynosure adds Smartlipo Triplex to portfolio

Cynosure has announced the launch of its new product – the Smartlipo Triplex Laser Liposis Workstation.

The product is the world’s first of its kind to feature three wavelengths that combine to deliver high-powered fat absorption and tissue tightening through tissue coagulation.

It also features a 1440 nm wavelength and utilises Cynosure’s patented MultiPlex technology.

This allows two wavelengths to be fired sequentially, creating a blended thermal and photomechanical effect that efficiently liquefies fat and tightens skin through collagen remodelling.

President and chief executive officer of Cynosure Michael Davin stated: “Whether treating a small well-defined area or removing larger amounts of fatty tissue, Smartlipo Triplex offers doctors the ability to customise the treatment to achieve maximum results.”

In July, Cynosure’s president and chief executive Michael Davin said that he feels the organisation is on its way to achieving its goal of annualised operating expense savings of between $14 million (8.48 million pounds) and $18 million this year.
