Cynosure to sell Elite workstations in China

27th June 2007

Cynosure has revealed it has been granted permission to sell its Elite series of hair removal workstations in China.

The company is now to market the brand – which incorporates the Apogee 5500 and Acclaim 7000 lasers – across the country, it states.

While the Apogee 5500 is designed to operate on paler skin types, the Acclaim 7000 laser is suited to those with a darker complexion, Cynosure claims.

President and chief executive officer Michael Davin welcomes the opportunity to enter a new market for the product.

"We believe our Elite family of products will provide a competitive solution for those seeking laser cosmetic treatments," he explains.

Mr Davin adds that further expansion into the Chinese market may be expected for Cynosure in the near future.

"Cynosure also has applied for regulatory approvals in China for other current flagship products," he reveals.

The company recently announced that it has been invited to join the Russell 3000 Index, which tracks the performance of the 3,000 largest firms in the US.ADNFCR-1050-ID-18192931-ADNFCR
