Cyprotex announces directorate changes
Cyprotex has announced two changes to its directorate which were effected from December 31st 2008.
The information and drug discovery company said Russell Barry Gibbs and Nikolas Sofronis have now resigned from the firm.
No reasons were given for the departures but Cyprotex chairman Steve Harris expressed his gratitude at both directors’ hard work over the years.
Stating they had both made "significant contributions" to the organisation’s development, he also spoke about the future of the group.
"I thank them on behalf of the company and wish them well in the future," Mr Harris added.
"Cyprotex is actively seeking candidates for the board vacancies created by their resignations."
The news follows an announcement last November which saw the group purchase Applied Biosystems Sciex QTRAP 5500 LC-MS/MS.
It described the ion trap and triple quadropole as one of the "most sensitive" on the market and said the device will enable Cyprotex to offer superior service as well as sensitive and accurate analysis of molecules.
Chief executive officer Dr Anthony Baxter described the technology as "state of the art".
