D-Eye to expand distribution of animal eye health smartphone add-on

20th March 2015

D-Eye has announced that it is teaming up with Galileo Diagnostics for the international marketing and distribution of its animal eye-scanning system.

The D-Eye Portable Retinal Imaging System is effectively a smartphone add-on that works by taking a high-definition video of an animal's eye, allowing veterinarians to effectively assess the vision of domestic pets, birds, horses and other small animals.

As the technology can simply be attached onto an iPhone or mobile Android device, it is extremely useful for vets to carry, due to its small, compact and portable nature.

Galileo will work with D-Eye to distribute the imaging system on a wide scale, allowing vets around the world to benefit from its ease of use.

Commenting on the new partnership, chief executive officer of D-Eye Richard Sill said: "[Galileo Diagnostics'] visibility and renown within the international veterinary medical market will serve us well as we seek to introduce the benefits of the ground-breaking D-Eye Portable Retinal Imaging System."

He added that the invention will be marketed at vets, animal hospitals and specialty treatment clinics worldwide, excluding North and South America.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801780582-ADNFCR
