Daiichi Sankyo to introduce new global corporate slogan

Daiichi Sankyo has announced that it will be introducing a global corporate slogan for the group on April 1st 2012.

The company will be introducing the phrase "Passion for Innovation. Compassion for Patients" as part of its international brand identity, with the slogan set to appear on its corporate advertisements and official websites.

A statement from the company said: "The Daiichi Sankyo group's global corporate slogan will improve recognition of the Daiichi Sankyo brand around the world and further contribute to the group's goal of becoming a global pharma innovator."

Daiichi Sankyo is based in Tokyo and was originally founded in September 2005, with its present-day capital totalling around 50 billion yen (381.49 million pounds) and its global workforce coming to around 30,000 people.

Earlier this month, the company also announced plans to significantly restructure its operations starting in April, with new divisions to be created and key functions being consolidated in order to help Daiichi Sankyo run itself more efficiently.
