Dako and Cell Signalling Technology announce new partnership
Dako has formed a companion diagnostics-focused alliance with Cell Signalling Technology, a leading provider of antibodies.
Under the terms of the agreement, Cell Signaling Technology will supply antibodies for use in Dako-branded companion diagnostics products, thus helping to accelerate the use of personalised medicine approaches in the treatment of conditions such as cancer.
This follows several other collaborative agreements in the companion diagnostics area for Agilent subsidiary Dako, with previous partnerships having been formed with Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Merck Sharp and Dohme, Amgen and Lilly.
Personalised medicine is a major new frontier in modern healthcare, allowing treatments to be targeted at the individuals most likely to benefit from specific therapies.
Jacob Thaysen, president of Agilent's diagnostics and genomics group, said: "We are pleased to work with Cell Signaling Technology in the development of high-quality, cutting-edge companion diagnostic products that will be an important tool in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer."
Dako has been a part of the Agilent group since 2012 and is a leading provider of reagents, instruments, software and expertise to help scientists to accurately diagnose cancer.
