Dako immunohistochemistry review shows prostate diagnosis benefits

Dako has announced the launch of a new review paper that demonstrates the benefits immunohistochemistry techniques can offer in diagnosing prostate cancer.

Entitled Immunohistochemistry in Prostate Pathology, the paper was co-authored by Dr Glen Kristiansen and Dr Jonathan Epstein, two of the leading global experts in prostate pathology.

It concisely illustrates how immunohistochemistry can contribute substantially to diagnostic prostate pathology if used with care and experience, while also representing a comprehensive reference guide on the uses and limitations of various prostate markers.

This could be an important resource, as the prevalence of prostate cancer is growing worldwide. An estimated 1.1 million men were diagnosed with the disease globally in 2012.

This comes after the firm recently highlighted findings from a recent white paper that demonstrates the benefits of its Dynamic Gap immunohistochemical staining technology.
