Dako launches new antibodies for cancer diagnostics

24th April 2008

Dako has launched a new set of antibodies for use in the diagnosis of cancer.

The ogranisation claims that its new Flex RTU ready-to-use antibodies range is the largest and most relevant portfolio on the market.

A company statement said: " With the number of patients waiting for cancer diagnosis continually on the rise, Dako works to provide pathology laboratories with workflow solutions linking knowledge, reagents, instruments and software for fast and accurate answers."

The package has been developed for the diagnosis of the most common types of cancer including breast, colon, lung and prostate.

It is comprised of 61 new antibodies and has been designed to deliver improved efficiency in the laboratory, increased productivity by speeding up the process from test to diagnosis and a higher patient safety due to fewer errors.

The company’s sales for 2007 amounted to DKK 1,543 million (£164m) up by one per cent from the previous year.
