Dechra announces free Osphos webinar for March

Dechra has announced that it will be hosting a free interactive webinar later this month that will help to educate vets on the benefits and uses of its new product Osphos.

Taking place on March 25th at 19:30 GMT, the seminar will explore the benefits and uses of the equine treatment, which is the UK's only licensed product to control clinical signs associated with the bone resorptive processes of navicular syndrome in horses.

Alana McGlade, Dechra's technical equine sales manager and a graduate of Nottingham Veterinary School, will be the keynote speaker. She worked in equine practice before moving into the veterinary pharmaceutical industry.

The webinar will discuss clodronic acid and bisphosphonates, addressing how Osphos works, its efficacy and best methods of administration. It will be followed by a question and answer session.

Emma Jennings, brand manager at Dechra Veterinary Products, said: "Clinical trials have shown that Osphos is a very effective treatment. It is well tolerated and has a proven efficacy in tests performed at six months post-treatment."

The company has already held webinars this month discussing the gastrointestinal anatomy and physiology of rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas.
