Dechra appoints new UK managing director

Dechra Veterinary Products has appointed Bob Parmenter to the position of UK managing director, it has been announced.

Mr Parmenter boasts 40 years of working within the pharmaceuticals sector and his previous employers include Coopers Animal Health, Mallinckrodt Veterinary and Schering-Plough.

He suggested that the veterinary aspect of Dechra is well positioned to further establish itself among the leading animal health sector supply companies operating in the UK.

“I’m confident my industry-wide knowledge will provide Dechra with additional experience as we continue to build our reputation and strengthen our UK market position,” said Mr Parmenter.

He went on to suggest that Dechra is entering a potentially exciting period of development, referring in particular to the recent acquisition of VetXX company.

Dechra Veterinary Health has been trading as such since October 2005 when it changed its name from Arnold’s and the company now operates as part of the worldwide Dechra Pharmaceuticals business.
