Dechra launches five ml bottle for Comfortan
Dechra has introduced a new, smaller bottle size option for its titratable analgesic product Comfortan.
Designed for use with cats and dogs in or about to experience moderate to severe pain, the popular product was the UK's first vet-licensed methadone and is also available in a ten ml size.
The new smaller option has been introduced in response to demand from practices that have been transferring the larger bottles between sites, and for cat-focused practices which use smaller volumes.
Craig Sankey, Dechra's brand manager, said: "The new five ml bottle is a great size for practices that would like to introduce Comfortan into their practice protocols, allowing them to do so in a cost-effective way."
Comfortan is one of a range of products in Dechra's anaesthesia and analgesia portfolio, which also includes brands such as Anesketin and Buprenodale.
This launch follows the introduction of TAF Spray, a next-generation antibiotic wound treatment, earlier this month.
