Dechra makes changes to board of directors
Dechra has announced that Dr Chris Richards is to become an independent non-executive director as part of a series of changes to the make-up of its board.
Dr Richards, chairman of Arysta LifeScience Corporation, will take up his role with the veterinary healthcare firm from December 1st 2010, allowing the company to benefit from his expertise on mergers and acquisitions and regulatory environments.
The appointment comes after senior independent non-executive director Malcolm Diamond retired from the company on November 5th 2010, following ten years with the firm.
He will be replaced in this role by Neil Warner, while Bryan Morton will take over Mr Diamond's other position as chairman of Dechra's remuneration committee.
Mike Redmond, chairman of Dechra Pharmaceuticals, said: "I would like to thank Malcolm for his valued support, contribution and wise counsel. We wish Malcolm and his family all the very best for the future."
Last month, Dechra expanded its product range with the launch of Ketodale, a versatile anti-inflammation agent for horses, cattle and pigs.
