Dechra reports strong growth in third quarter
Dechra has reported strong growth for the third quarter of its 2011-12 business year.
The animal health company's group revenue rose by 9.9 percent year on year during the three months ending on March 31st 2012, while its total for the last three quarters was 9.3 percent ahead of last year.
During the third quarter, Dechra's European products business revenue saw a 12.8 percent leap, while in the US pharmaceutical sales jumped by an even more robust 26.8 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, the company has also been able to agree deals to acquire the Eurovet Animal Health business and the equine lameness product HY-50.
The company's interim management statement said: "Current trading remains in line with the board's expectations and the directors remain confident that the group will continue to make good strategic progress throughout the remainder of the financial year."
Dechra currently operates in a total of 11 European countries as well as the US, with a global workforce of more than 200 people.
