Dechra to host free CPD sessions on canine hypoadrenocorticism

21st June 2016

Dechra has announced that it will be hosting a series of continuing professional development (CPD) sessions on the topic of canine hypoadrenocorticism.

A total of 11 free sessions will take place across the country throughout July, examining the diagnosis and treatment of this complex syndrome, which is also known as Addison's disease.

These interactive CPD sessions will be case-based and hosted by one of Dechra's team of veterinary advisors, with advice to include information on how to use the company's new product Zycortal to manage the condition.

A session in Birmingham on July 5th will kick off the programme and will be followed by dates in Wakefield, Basingstoke, Exeter, Newcastle, Cheltenham, Gatwick, Manchester, Stirling, Peterborough and Hatfield.

Craig Sankey, brand manager at Dechra Veterinary Products, said: "Management of the condition can be challenging and these free events will help veterinary professionals learn more about how to use Zycortal to treat dogs with Addison's."

Zycortal is the only European licensed treatment for Addison's disease, which is caused by a reduction in corticosteroid secretion from the adrenal glands, and can be fatal if not treated correctly.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801820556-ADNFCR
