Dental body appoints first female chair
The Association of Specialist Providers to Dentists (ASPD) has appointed leading dental lawyer Amanda Maskery as its new chair.
Ms Maskery, a partner at the Sintons law firm in Newcastle, will be the first female to hold the position, heading up the network of legal, business and financial professionals working within the dental industry.
She has been hailed by Legal 500 as a "top dental sector specialist" and heads up the nationally-regarded healthcare team at Sintons, which has completed more than £55 million of transactions in this area over the last three years.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms Maskery said: "I am hugely proud to become chair, after two years as vice chair and it is an honour to become the first woman to take on this role … I look forward to taking the organisation forward on to even greater successes."
She succeeds Lloyds Bank senior healthcare banking consultant Steve Pratt in the position.
