Dentsply board member joins private equity firm

Dentsply International board member Francis J Lunger has joined the team at Linden, a private equity firm based in Chicago.

A certified public accountant, Mr Lunger will bring more than 30 years’ experience in the healthcare sector to his latest role at Linden.

Serving as an operating partner, the Dentsply board member is the latest appointment at Linden, a company that specialises in leveraged buyout investments in mid-market healthcare.

Before taking up his position at Dentsply, Mr Lunger served at Millipore, Oak Industries, Nashua, Raychem and Baxter International.

The news follows the appointment Ray Novak, a partner with a similar breadth of experience, who most recently served as chief operating officer at Laboratory Corporation of America.

In other news at Dentsply, the company recently announced the date of a ball that will take place in the UK this year.

The company revealed that the Bridge 2 Aid Charity Ball, which will support dental initiatives in north-west Tanzania, will be held on Friday November 13th as part of the BDTA Dental Showcase in Birmingham.
