Dentsply Sirona launches endodontic procedure planning software

Dentsply Sirona has announced the launch of 3D Endo, a new 3D imaging software solution to improve the planning and workflow of endodontic procedures.

The software makes it easier to pre-plan and optimise endodontic treatments on the basis of imaging data from the Orthophos units, and represents the first software solution to be developed by Dentsply Sirona's endodontics and digital radiography units in tandem.

It allows practitioners to case-specifically recognise the demands on the root canal treatment tooth, analyse the natural shape of the root canal and select appropriate files using the integrated file database.

This makes endodontic treatments is more efficient and safer, as well as providing significantly improved patient communication, as it provides planning reports and demonstrative capabilities to help the practitioner clearly explain their suggested treatment strategy. 

Dentsply Sirona will launch the software in the coming months upon the receiving the necessary regulatory approval.
