Dentsply Sirona launches new CEREC Zirconia Meso Block

Dentsply Sirona has announced the launch of its new CEREC Zirconia Meso Block, designed to secure screw-retained crowns for implants.

This material can easily be integrated into the practice's CEREC Zirconia workflow and combines the outstanding properties of zirconia with an efficient clinical protocol. It offers strength and biocompatibility and does not require cement, ensuring irritation-free adaptation to the gingiva.

Crowns can be dry-milled and subsequently sintered in the CEREC SpeedFire furnace in around 24 minutes, while TiBases and crown can be joined together extra-orally, eliminating risks associated with the use of unclean adhesive surfaces.

Dentsply Sirona is making the CEREC Zirconia Meso Block available in a number of different colour options, including A1, A2, A3, and A3.5. 

Dr Frank Thiel, group vice-president for CAD/CAM at Dentsply Sirona, said: "Our new CEREC Zirconia meso Blocks fit perfectly on our TiBase. This means that both the implant insertion and the treatment with a full-contour zirconia crown can take place in just one visit, and that means a higher level of patient comfort."
