Dentsply Sirona marks DAC Universal’s tenth anniversary

Dentsply Sirona has marked the tenth anniversary of the launch of its award-winning DAC Universal combination autoclave.

The product's genesis began with Sirona's acquisition of the hygiene division of Nitram ten years ago, after which DAC Universal continued to be developed and launched in 2006.

A reprocessing device with validation processes for handpieces, the system is the only offering on the market that can clean, lubricate and sterilise up to six turbines and straight and contra-angle handpieces in 16 minutes.

It was recently updated with the introduction of the new Flex lid, allowing it to be used for internal and external cleaning, thermal disinfection of ultrasonic tips and handpieces, as well as the nozzles of multifunctional syringes.

DAC Universal was presented with the 2015 Innovation Prize from Pluradent and the dental magazine DZW earlier this year.
