DePuy Synthes appoints worldwide spinal division president

14th December 2012

DePuy Synthes has announced the appointment of Max Reinhardt as the new worldwide president of its DePuy Synthes Spine business division.

Mr Reinhardt has been with the DePuy Spine company since 2002 and most recently served in the role of vice-president of worldwide marketing, a position he has occupied since early 2011.

Originally appointed as UK director of sales and marketing, he has moved through positions of escalating responsibility, playing a key role in integrating the global spine division of Synthes into DePuy following its acquisition by the Johnson and Johnson group earlier this year.

Following this merger, the combined company now has one of the largest and most diverse portfolios in the industry, including traditional and minimally invasive devices and solutions for a wide range of spinal disorders.

According to Johnson and Johnson's third-quarter financial report, the takeover of Synthes contributed significantly to the 6.5 percent year-over-year revenue growth experienced by the group during the three-month period.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801506892-ADNFCR
