DiaSorin maintains 2010 business growth in second quarter

11th August 2010

DiaSorin has reported a 26.5 per cent year-on-year growth in consolidated net revenues during the second quarter of 2010.

According to the firm’s latest financial report, revenue totals for the quarter grew to 100.5 million euros (83.5 million pounds), up from 79.5 million euros in Q2 2009.

This means that total revenue figures for the first half of the year are now ahead of 2009 levels by 24.1 per cent, which was attributed to growing sales of Liaison systems and Clia products, as well as the success of its vitamin D testing range.

Further growth is now expected in the second half of the year thanks to the imminent launch of the Liaison XL platform and the recent acquisition of the Murex product line from Abbott.

DiaSorin added: “The data for the beginning of the third quarter, on a comparable scope of operations, confirm that the growth trend in revenues reported in the first half of the year is continuing.”

Last month, DiaSorin agreed to a new collaboration with Meridian to create a gastrointestinal panel for use with its Liaison range.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800020688-ADNFCR
