Dr Reddy’s full-year report highlights growth

17th May 2011

Dr Reddy's has published its financial report for the full-year period ending on March 31st 2011, during which it achieved year-on-year growth.

The generic medicine specialist's consolidated revenue performance for 2010-11 came to $1.7 billion (1.05 billion pounds), representing an increase of six percent over the preceding 12 months.

During the period, the firm successfully launched 135 generic products and filed a further 107 new product registrations, while strengthening its US presence with the construction of a new penicillin facility.

Furthermore, last month it opened its newly expanded Chirotech Technology Centre in the UK's Cambridge Science Park, a move that will allow it to bolster its research efforts into areas of chemistry relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.

The move will also allow the firm to double its scientific workforce at the facility.

According to Dr Reddy's, the company's performance in 2010-11 was indicative of "good and sustained growth across all key formulation markets".ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800546702-ADNFCR
