Durbin announces new appointment

Durbin Clinic Sales has appointed Dave Morris as territory sales manager in its clinic sales division.

Specialising in contraception and sexual health, the company hopes to improve service with a ‘man-on-the-spot’ to help GPs and family planning clinics.

The news of Mr Morris’ appointment comes following the company’s appointment from Wynlit Laboratories as the sole distributor of Phytex Paint in 25 ml units.

Supplies can be available from Durbin or a local wholesaler and it can be ordered together with all other lines supplied by the company.

Earlier this year, the company also won SME of the Year at the 2008 Business Excellence Awards, additionally coming second in international trade and exporter of the year, entrepreneur of the year and business of the year.

Started in Harrow, London in 1963, Durbin’s medical supplies team is based in Coulsdon, Surrey.

The company specialises in exports of medicines, medical equipment and consumable supplies to over 180 countries around the world, along with clinic sales, who supply reversible contraceptives to clinics and GPs throughout the UK.

As part of its imports division, the company sources orphan drugs, unlicensed medicines, product discontinuations and supply shortage problems for UK hospitals, pharmacies and GPs, with its clinical trials sector which also sources products.
