Ecolab enters into licensing agreement with C Change Surgical

Ecolab has revealed that it signed a contract with C Change Surgical, which will see the former firm access the licensing needed to produce body temperature-moderating equipment.

Under the terms of the agreement, Ecolab will access exclusive rights to a portfolio of patents related to surgical fluid warming technology.

It will then utilise these to develop and market associated products for the healthcare market.

C Change Surgical LLC’s technology can be used in the majority of surgical procedures, as well as robotic and minimally invasive operations.

Paul Chaffin, a vice-president at Ecolab, stated: “This technology, which accurately manages the temperature of sterile surgical fluid, will enhance our patient warming product offerings and help physicians improve patient care.”

In other Ecolab news, the organisation revealed last month that it donated over $500,000 (310,520 pounds) to the earthquake relief efforts taking place in Haiti.
