Elanco to host webinar on endo-parasitic worm treatment in May

Elanco has announced that it will be hosting a webinar on the management and treatment of important endo-parasitic worms affecting dogs and cats next month.

To be hosted by Ian Wright, head of the European Scientific Counsel Companion Animal Parasites in the UK and Ireland, the webinar will be aimed at final-year vet students to provide them with a refresher on the topic.

Taking place on May 20th at 20:00 BST, the seminar will offer an overview of intestinal roundworms, tapeworms and lungworms, plus information on life cycles, zoonotic potential, diagnoses, risk factors, treatments, prevention strategies and the importance of good hygiene.

Elanco will be offering this webinar since the core teaching on this topic typically occurs early on in veterinary medicine courses.

Mr Wright said: "It is important that that final-year students refresh their knowledge of parasitology and its practical applications before they begin their careers in practice."

Elanco completed a multibillion-dollar merger with Novartis Animal Health at the start of the year and has since adopted a single unified brand identity across all of its business units.
