Elsevier books honoured by BMA

Elsevier has announced that ten of its scholarly and professional publications have been honoured by the British Medical Association (BMA) in its Medical Book Competition.

The ceremony took place in London earlier this month and saw an additional 19 books from the firm receive commendations.

Among the titles that collected prizes was Gray’s Anatomy for Students by Richard Drake, Adam Mitchell and Wayne Vogl, which came in first place in the BMA Basic and Clinical Science category.

Commenting, Randy Charles, managing director of the global clinical reference group at Elsevier, took the opportunity to thank all of the editors, authors and publishing staff who worked on the titles that received accolades.

He added: "This is an amazing achievement and reflects our dedication to developing and delivering quality content."

Earlier this month, Elsevier and Science New Bi-Weekly announced the launch of the Scopus Young Scientist Award, which is designed to promote the growth of a new generation of scientists.
